| Customer Reviews: Cookbook July 21, 2010 drgreco My husband is a diabetic who doesn't take insulin. I was looking more for low carb than no sugar. Didn't fit what I needed - but a friend of my liked it.
A bunch of Splenda recipes November 12, 2007 Alaina Larsen (San Francisco, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was looking for creative dessert recipes with wholesome alternatives to sugar. This book just featured Splenda as a sugar substitute in nearly every recipe, and I don't like to use chemical, artificial sugars.
A better book with wholesome low sugar dessert recipes is "Get the Sugar Out" by Ann Louis Gittleman, in which she discusses several wholesome sugar substitutes such as fructose, blackstrap molasses, date "sugar", sucanat, fruits and more. She also provides several dessert recipes featuring these more wholesome forms of sugar.
No-Sugar Cookbook December 12, 2008 Margaret A. Biddenstadt (Round Lake Beach, IL, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was disapointed in this cookbook.
It has listed many odd ingredients with no reference as to where to find such odd items, or what they are.
I do not recommend this book for the general public.
